UK - England to Wales

The 12th century Wells Cathedral is massive! The oldest religious building found on this site was a Roman Mausoleum. Then around the year 700, King Ine of Wessex ordered that a minster church be built here. The older Anglo-Saxon Church was replaced by this Gothic Cathedral. The present Cathedral started in 1180 is over 126m long and 55m high at the central tower.
